PRAYERS
Prayer for God’s Love & Marriages
Heavenly Father,
As husband and wife, we come before Your presence today, united in prayer. We thank You for the gift of marriage and the bond You have blessed us with. We seek Your guidance, protection, and blessings over our lives and our union. May Your Word and promises be the foundation of our prayers and the compass that guides our hearts.
Lord, we humbly ask for Your divine protection to cover our marriage. Shield us from the attacks of the enemy and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your promise in Psalm 91:10-11, “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” May Your angels surround us and our marriage, preserving it from harm and strengthening our commitment to one another.
Father, we pray for Your favor to rest upon us as husband and wife. May Your favor go before us in every area of our lives. We ask for favor in our relationship, our careers, our friendships, and our interactions with others. Open doors of opportunity for us and bless our endeavors as we seek to honor You in all that we do. Help us to be a source of favor and blessing to those around us.
Lord, we pray for Your abundant blessings to overflow in our marriage. May Your blessings touch every aspect of our lives, bringing prosperity, joy, and fulfillment. We ask for Your blessing upon our home, our finances, our health, and our dreams and aspirations. Your Word reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” May Your plans for us as a couple unfold, and may Your blessings be evident in our lives.
Father, we seek Your wisdom and guidance as we navigate the journey of marriage together. Help us to make decisions that align with Your will and purpose for our lives. Your Word assures us in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” May we trust in You wholeheartedly, leaning on Your wisdom and seeking Your direction in every step we take.
Lord, we pray for an outpouring of Your unconditional love in our marriage. Teach us to love one another as Christ loved the church. May our love be sacrificial, patient, and kind. Help us to extend grace and forgiveness to one another, just as You have shown us grace and forgiveness. Your Word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” May our love for one another reflect Your love and be a testimony to others.
Father, we pray for laughter, joy, and peace to fill our marriage. Help us to find delight in one another’s presence and to cherish the moments of happiness we share. Your Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:4, “There is a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” May our home be a place of joy, where laughter is abundant and peace reigns.
